Local Craft Beverage Scene:

The Monticello American Viticultural Area (AVA), including the Monticello Wine Trail was named by Wine Enthusiast the 2023 Wine Region of the Year receiving the Wine Star Award. Many of our local vineyards are part of this award-winning region.

Orange County also had an impressive showing in this year’s 2024 Virginia Governor's Cup. Barboursville Vineyards, The Barn at 678 Vineyard, Honah Lee Vineyard, Reynard Florence Vineyard, and Woodbrook Farm Vineyard received numerous gold, silver, and bronze medal wins! The Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association awarded Chateau Merrillanne a Best of Category award for the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association (ASWA's) most recent competition.
Our local wine scene is far from amateur. It is well worth exploring!

Our local brewery family has also grown in the last year in leaps and bounds and have added some tasty new options to the local brew scene.
Iron Pipe Alewerks is a favorite local stop in the town of Orange which has received some awards recently for their seasonal brews.
Patch Brewery is a new favorite spot by our locals. Offering a dog park, baseball field, outdoor beer garden, indoor beer garden, and pavilion along with a
great variety of  tasty brews located in Gordonsville.
